Recursia specializes in producing fashion, goods, and visual media informed by a modern scientific understanding of the human visual system, perception, neuroaesthetics, and ancient design principles from a diverse array of cultures.

We combine knowledge of how vision works in the eyes, brain, and mind to create Recursia® print designs. Recursia is unique because our designers are artists trained in cognitive neuroscience and visual perception.

Creating excellent products responsibly and ethically is our top priority. Recursia® goods are made using high-quality materials and state-of-the-art printing technologies by industry professionals. This ensures that the colors and details of our intricate designs remain sharp, vivid, and attractive. The fabric design for each garment is printed and inspected for quality before being individually hand-cut and sewn by experienced professionals in North America and Europe. The majority of our products are hand-made in the USA.

One of the largest global polluters is the textile and fashion industries. Recursia® strives to minimize our negative impact and environmental footprint. For this reason, all of our products are made on a by-order basis by fairly-paid professionals.

To help us minimize waste, please scrutinize the size charts before purchasing. Our products are printed, hand-cut-and-sewn, and inspected for quality and correct sizing in-house prior to shipment. Click here to view our return policy.

Whether it be a custom kimono featuring a pattern made out of a picture of a pet or a backpack with a pattern composed of a company logo, Recursia Studios can create a stunning piece beyond all expectations.

Recursia also conducts research on the neuroscience of visual perception and optical illusions in order to inform our print and product designs. The Recursia logo is composed of the "Scintillating Starburst", a peer-reviewed illusion discovered and researched by Recursia Studios.
